News Release!!!!!!!

Today at 7:48 AM I issued a news release via BusinessWire. Search in Google for "Family Enterprise Returns New York Best-Selling Author’s Novels to New Generations of Readers of History and Romance" or fraction thereof. It went to the Metro NY market, as well as publishing-oriented companies and secondary schools and universities. For the money ($325) this will cover a lot of ground. AP is on the list, as is Publisher's Weekly, and most other national news outlets. They wouldn't let me put the cover on the page, so I made a "quickie" logo and stuck it in there:
I will edit it later for a more professional look, but for now it's better and more colorful than my book logo:

OOOOOOoooooKkkkkkkkkkkayyyyyyyyyy.

It's late, and I have Project Review in the morning at my "real" job. The economy is declining, and I must show what I'm doing to keep sales numbers up. I'm not worried at this point. Time will tell.

So, keep the faith, and let's hope the big stimulus gets the country in gear, and soon. Meanwhile, read a book.

Archetype Imprints

Today my Great-uncle Lawrence Schoonover's book Gentle Infidel is again available for the world. This book joins Queen's Cross as the second in The Schoonover Collection.

These books sold millions in the day (1950s), and I've spent the last few years redesigning them,
obtaining financing from my family, friends, and my bank, and now they are in a warehouse. I've got to sell them.

I signed a contract today to have them shown at the Baker & Taylor Vendor Summit for libraries around the country. Maybe in this economy more libraries will buy books.

My mother called, too. Her cancer is back, and she's undergoing radiation. She sounds very upbeat, and my older sister is visiting her next weekend. All who know her are concerned.
OK, I'm going to look into promoting them to book clubs. That's my project for tonight (and probably a few other nights, too!). Other activities have already begun. I'll try to update this journal as I go. I've gotten a lot of help from family, and I owe it to them to give this as big a push as I can.

Check out the covers at FCPub.com

All for tonight. Time to get to work!
